Tech company to bring 465 jobs to Atlanta

A woman-owned technology services company is bringing its offshore operations to Fulton County that would create 465 jobs.
Milletech Systems Inc., a software solutions and services company, plans to recruit 100 Georgia college students every year for full-time jobs in emerging cloud technologies at the new software development center. Students will be recruited from the city’s workforce development agency, Historically Black Colleges and Universities and the University System of Georgia, according to a news release from Gov. Brian Kemp’s office.
“Milletech System’s new software development center will be a valuable addition to our growing technology and innovation ecosystem,” Stacey Key, president and CEO of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Center, said in the release
“We applaud Milletech’s decision to collaborate with our university system and HBCUs, as it will create a more diverse talent pipeline and foster economic growth in our minority communities,” she said.
Millitech System is a Georgia State Minority Certified business and has an existing office in Alpharetta. The offshore operations are being relocated to 1 Baltimore Place NW in Atlanta, near Emory University Hospital. The Baltimore Place building is in the Georgia State Opportunity Zone, one of the city’s 26 Federal Opportunity Zones. Opportunity zones are areas where the city seeks more investment to revitalize a low-income community. Businesses locating to opportunity zones receive tax breaks.
“Milletech’s Software Development Center will create jobs in emerging cloud technologies and software development in the city of Atlanta, instead of offshoring those opportunities to other countries,” said Nasir Mujawar, CEO of Milletech Systems Inc. “This facility is a first-of-its-kind software development center, which will provide career pathways to Georgia’s local talent pool while boosting the state economy.”
Founded in 2000, Milletech offers end-to-end business solutions to clients across North America in emerging technologies and provides software design and development.
