Entrepreneurs and small business owners will have a new place to go to help them with their business needs on the campus of Morehouse College.
Dr. Tiffany Bussey, who serves as the director of the Morehouse Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, says it’s all a part of a growing partnership between Morehouse College and the University of Georgia that aims to support the economic growth in Atlanta’s West End neighborhood.
Under the partnership, the two schools will work together to establish a new University of Georgia Small Business Development Center on the campus of Morehouse.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Bussey told show host Rose Scott that there are currently 17 University of Georgia Small Business Development Centers across the state of Georgia, and Morehouse’s location is expected to open for in-person and virtual visits as early August.
Allan Adams, who is the state director for the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, says staff at the centers run a state and federally-funded program that provides small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs with serval services.
Some of the services that centers offer include consulting advice and continuing education classes.
